I can admit, I love gifting. But a little too often, each holiday season I am torn between conjuring up the perfect, personalized gift for my friends and family (in hopes that they will appoint me the coveted position as the ‘one with the best gifts’) and wanting to settle for something mundane, safe and ‘people-pleasing’. Most of the time I find myself in panic-mode, cursing my way through the mall as I continuously fail to find something that falls between the two.
Here’s to moving up the ranks. This isn’t one of those I-can’t-afford-a-single-damn-thing on this gift guide, nor will it be filled with useless kitchen knick-knacks that take up that entire drawer (guilty: we all have one).
Lame gifts are unladylike. But then again, so is the cursing. Dammit.
